Immigration Assistance

Despite being highly qualified, over-regulated, and having the highest standards of ethics and honesty, Australian Lawyers working in Australia are not allowed to give immigration advice or legal advice about migration law unless they are also registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority.

Lawyers such as Greg Finlayson can and do provide "Immigration Legal Assistance" which is defined in the Migration Act to include representation before a court about migration matters.

Since 30th May 2014, Greg Finlayson is entitled to give immigration assistance and advice about migration law and holds Migration Agents Registration Number 138541. He does so without fee in selected matters as a service to the community but continues to provide immigration legal assistance for professional fee.
