Diaspora Legal always considers the cost to the client when undertaking travel in relation to a legal matter. Work efficiency and time costs can be improved through use of appropriate travel and accommodation standards.
Our policy sets out our travel and accommodation standards when dealing with a client matter.
We attempt to balance the following factors:
Australia Domestic: Travel by air is on Qantas where available and Accommodation at Sofitel or Novotel. Business class travel is used for flights over three hours or where warranted by the brief.
Indonesia Domestic: Travel by air is on Garuda Indonesia, excepting low cost carriers are used for travel between Denpasar and Surabaya. Business class travel is used for flights over three hours or where warranted by the brief. Denpasar accomodation is Ibis or equivalent, otherwise Sofitel/Mercure/Novotel equivalent.
International travel: International travel is with Qantas or Garuda where available. Business class is utilised for flights over three hours or where warranted by the brief. Accomodation outside of Indonesia is at Sofitel or Novotel or equivalent.
Per diems are charged in line with ATO published reasonable amounts referable to the location of travel.
